If you play Crystal it may also walk at you while you shield as the throne isn't sure on your location - but it will only do this inbetween attack cycles.Īlso, it's a good idea to target guardians that appear right away. The Throne will also walk at you if you're off screen or standing too far to the left/right, so keep that in mind. But the Throne's fight benefits from always being the same layout, where other bosses benefit from the chaos of randomly generated layouts. It may be hard to keep track of all of this, but I do the daily challenge for years now and have a pretty consistent strategy where dying to Throne is very uncommon to me, and my only losses are either due to very poor weapon drops or making very stupid mistakes(usually the latter). Keep getting the throne to use its laser beam while you destroy generators, and then move inbetween the far left/right side to get ammo, then get the throne to beam as much as possible while you lay damage into it. So in other words bring a good melee(long arms and stress goes well in the throne fight). Standing there just long enough to force the throne to choose that attack, then quickly hit the orbs with melee, are a consistent way to safely gain ammo back. IF you have melee, if you stand far to the side of the throne(aka where the generators were destroyed), it's always going to choose the orb attack but it will spam it. If you have melee they are very easy to deal with, otherwise they may overwhelm you. You'll either want to be on the side to collect ammo(explained in next point), or in the middle to try to proc the laser beam for easier to dodge attacks.įinally, the throne may choose to cycle the attack where it shoots two orbs at you. As long as you're standing in front of the throne it may choose to cycle this attack, so act appropriately. Its second attack is shooting out normal bullets, just remember the patterns here. Get the throne to do this while you destroy generators, and when you have lots of ammo constantly stay in the middle during the fight. The throne gives a very loud noise to telegraph the attack and will only ever do it when you're at/very close to the middle of the throne's body, and is incredibly easy to dodge.
The first attack is the Throne beam, which always shoots at the middle(lines up with the carpet), learn how to abuse this attack to your advantage. The Throne uses three attacks to keep track of
Like with any fight the trick is to learn the enemy's attacks, and know how to respond appropriately. Your secondary weapon being a consistent source of damage is also important, auto crossbow was a good pick on that one. Melee is a good idea in general for the throne's attacks, preferably something that fires fast. If you plan to loop, leave it at the 7-3 chest while you use the other weapon there.
